Modern House - Awesome Featured ‘Screen House’

The Screen House is one of great former architecture work of 1954 in a suburban neighborhood on a hill prow, New Westminster, British Columbia. Then Randy Bens Architect were asked to handle the refurbishment project to make it more modern, comfortable, and fulfilling the needs of the client about a living and working space.

The renovated house was redesigned with additional floor upstairs. It was a request of the client that wanted to make the area upstairs for the parent and main floor for the children. Master bedroom, art studio, and a deck were placed on the upper floor as the space for the owner to take a rest, working, as well as enjoying the entertainment. The newly renovated house becomes fresh with the new performance and simple gestures.

The architects applied new touch on the second floor exterior; horizontal screen for the access of view and natural light. The horizontal screen also gives advantages to the living room so that it feels more comfortable and restful as well as nice natural lighting into the living room of the renovated house.
